CANDE (Command AND Edit) is the text editor and command interface for Burroughs systems running the MCP OS.

It was developed by Remote Computing Corporation on a Burroughs 5500, and then taken over by Burroughs.
Burroughs merged with Sperry in 1986 to become Unisys, and CANDE is still used on the Unisys Clearpath mainframe line.
