This editor was also available on OS/2 as a text mode application. Similar to an IBM internal editor called E3 in large part because it was written by the same programmer, ClarkMaurer. Another similar editor is X2.

The SlickEditorKeyboardLayout is very natural, at least to English language speakers.

For a time, this was my favorite editor. It was reliable, fast, and natural to use. On OS/2 and DOS, it rocked. It was also similar enough to XEDIT that I could switch between the two rather easily. All in all, an excellent product. -- RonPerrella
