EditPlug has Syntax highlighting for PHP, Delphi C programming language, FORTRAN, 80x86 assembler, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, Perl, HTML, SQL, Python, Tcl, and its own syntax highlighter definition language to extend highlighting to any language you want.

The editor has code templates and a Multiple Document Interface for viewing many files at once.

It has an extensible tools menu, recordable macros, incremental search, regex search, and a built in Save As FTP feature for quickly uploading files, and a plugin system to extend the editor with more features.

EditPlug can integrate multiple compilers to compile code within the editor. The editor can and run external tools to manipulate loaded files. The output of external computer programs can be captured for further use (i.e. error messages, compiler results).
