A Windows based TextEditor.

Author: Emurasoft, Inc.

Family: UnicodeEditorFamily
Platform Windows
License: Shareware, with freeeware version available

This text editor wisely (I think) chose to support the WindowsScriptingHost (or WSH) method of embedding MacroLanguage code into the editor. Thus, you can use any MacroLanguage that supports WSH to code in. This include JScript and VBScript as well as Perl.

It also has the ability to search for text across multiple files as well as performing replacement/substitution across multiple files. Tabbed editing is supported.

There are currently 3 versions of EmEditor: a freeware version, a Standard version ($29.95), and a Pro version ($39.95). I have the Pro version and have been pretty happy with it. I use EmEditor anytime I need to handle Unicode. Check them out! (EricPement)
