Showing revision 5A free clone of
Pico, with additional features (including multiple editing buffers). It also has a compile-time option to leave out all unnecessary features, making the executable as small as possible (see
TinyEditors).
Nano was written because Pico has a license restriction that prevents it from being distributed with Debian Linux. It was later donated to the GNU project, which now maintains and extends it.
Nano Core Development Team: Chris Allegretta, Jordi Mallach, Adam Rogoyski, Rob Siemborski, Rocco Corsi, David Lawrence Ramsey, Mike Frysinger, David Benbennick
