Internal variables are held by the editor and provided to the MacroLanguage to enhance its flexibility in making changes to the file. Some examples might be the '''current edit point''' or the boundaries of the '''selected block''' (first and last line, and possibly first and last column), etc. These variables might be read-only, or might be modifiable by the Macro Language.
