Some editors provide commands to start and stop remembering keystrokes, and to replay the sequence. For example, the X2 editor provides keys_record to start/stop remembering and keys_play to perform the remembered operation again. (Additionally, X2 provides the keys_write command to write the sequence to a file to create a template for a MacroLanguage routine.)
