RoughDraft is a remarkable little work, tight and compact, with a powerful print manager and includes such features as spellcheck, scratch pad, and more. Saves files in default .rtf (rich text format) so that they are universally readable. Has a screenplay mode, and prose mode. The installer fits comfortably on a 1.44MB floppy, making it portable nearly anywhere.
Richard Salsbury, the original author, is not currently updating the program (the last update was in 2005) but it continues to be available on his website..
