TextPad is an excellent editor for use with Microsoft Windows and has a macro capability which makes it a suitable Development Environment for Java and Perl.

It is very popular among programmers specifically because of its ability to effectively edit very large files. This makes it quite suitable for editing textual data files such as PostScript?, RDBMS dumps, and XML.
