C like languages abound, especially in the MacroLanguage world. Most programmers work in C-like languages like Java, JavaScript, C#, or C++ so it is a natural to want a familiar environment. I've often seen it mentioned that so many languages claim to be C-like that there should be a standard. -- RonPerrella
