It is a high-performance editor that has various functions such as powerful color-coding function, editing function on a project basis, linkage with version control software, etc.

Powerful color-coding capabilities include C, C++ (including Borland), Fortran, COBOL, JAVA, PHP, and RUBY, as well as embedded languages such as Z80, 6809, LaTex, and kanji.

As an editing function, Peggy has the concept of memorizing a folder tree called a project as it is.Therefore in programming or the like, there is a feature that is easy to edit the text, including the folder hierarchy.

Version control software supports VSS, Subversion, CVS, and RCS.

The character codes are ShiftJIS?, EUC, JIS, UTF-7, UTF-8 and Unicode. It seems to be designed to automatically determine the character code of the imported file, but there are cases where the code determination fails for Japanese files that are not registered in the project, and it is displayed as ShiftJIS? in that case.

In PHP scripts etc., there are a lot of things that are multilingual, but even if it is written in UTF-8, the alphabet with umlaut and Tilde, such as German, French, and Eastern European languages, can not be displayed. It is limited to the display of only ordinary Alphabet, which is described as Latin Capital/Small? Letter in ISO8859-1. Also, it is not possible to display Chinese and other multi-byte languages as well.
