It allows you to edit COBOL programs in an outline format that should prove to be very useful, given the highly structured nature of COBOL.

It can also calculate byte offsets in cobol records -- this is VERY useful!

It also provides an excel-style grid for creating, modifying & examining files based on their record definition - a boon for generating test data.

This almost reminds me of FileAID
