The VMS EDT TextEditor keyboard layout is an interesting method of using the keypad.

The keypad on the right hand side of the keyboard is assigned functions.
The period key is used to begin selecting text.
The "8" key is used to page. The direction of paging is set by pressing the "2" key or "3" key.
