Showing revision 1MINed ("My INed, a nicer INed") was written by George Williams at Caltech around 1980-1981. It is a quarter-plane editor with extensive block mode editing commands and a macro language. MINed was inspired by Interactive Systems Corporation's
INed, itself supposedly derived from the RAND editor. MINed is completely unrelated to the better-known and more recent
mined. A few users continue to this day.
