TED is a tiny editor originally written by Tom Kihlken and published by PC Magazine. It was issued with ASM and BASIC source, and took all of 3K on disk.

This is Kihlken's original TED 1.0, in a package with its source code, and other PC Magazine utilities. Kihlken also released a v1.1 with minor updates (there is yet another v1.1 - see end of this article for link).

PC Magazine changed the licensing on their utilities a couple of years back, and required a PC Magazine subscription to access them. They are no longer freely available from PC Mag's site, but can still be found in other repositories.

TED spawned a family of its own, as various folks picked up the source and made revisions, leading to NTED, TEDNASM, the other TED 1.1, TedPlus, Ted2, Ted3 and SuperTed.
