This method of
PickingATextEditor isn't bad either. Just use whatever your best friend uses.
The advantages are numerous:
- you force your friend into the role of being a support person. Not bad.
- you shorten your selection time
- you get access to your friend's cache of macros and tricks/tips
- you have someone to discuss cool tips/tricks with.
The disadvantages are numerous too:
- you'd better hope you have a smart friend -- else you'll be using pico for a long time!
- you won't have an answer for alternate platforms
- you may not actually get an editor which is a good fit for your problems.
All in all, it aint bad.
