It really exists. There are two versions: the Vigor text editor shown below, and the Vigor XMMS plugin which dances and makes snide comments while XMMS is playing music in the background.

Vigor is based on nvi. It has disturbing and irritating wizard, that resembles that paper clip wizard called Clippy of MS Word WordProcessor. So, vigor is just humour software. It was inspired by Pitr of the "User Friendly" comic strip: http://www.userfriendly.org/
